Frequently Asked Questions FAQs

SECTION 1 -  STRUCTURAL PROBLEMS

  1. I always seem to have tightness and pain between my shoulder blades. Massage and chiropractic only temporarily help. How can N.O.T. help me?

  2. I always have tight or restricted shoulders. I have tried different modalities but they only help temporarily. What could you do for me that may be more permanent?

  3. When I stand in front of a mirror, I can see that my head, shoulders and pelvis look uneven or tilted. Can this be corrected?

  4. I find that I grind my teeth at night and even though my dentist gave me a tooth guard to wear, I still have very sore jaw muscles when I wake up. Does N.O.T. have a treatment protocol for this?

  5. I find that I am always so tired in the day but at night time I seem to have more energy. Do you have a possible answer for this?

  6. I notice my shoes wear down unevenly. Does this tell you anything about my body and can you help?

  7. My ankle always twists even though I have had adjustments, put orthotics in my shoes, and built up the muscles of my legs and ankles at the gym. Is there something neurological that could be going on?

  8. Short leg syndrome

SECTION 2 – SPORTS INJURIES AND TRAUMAS

  1. I am an athlete and notice that during both my baseball and golf swings, my body always pulls a little at the end of the swing, causing me to hook the ball and not get as much power in my swing. Sometimes muscles in either my neck or my low back will spasm after the swing. What does this tell you?

  2. I play professional sports and had a bad injury some years ago. My trainers, physiotherapist, and chiropractor helped me get back to playing but it took 2 months. I was good for about a year, and then one day while taking out the garbage (which wasn’t heavy at all), the same symptoms of the injury returned. Because the relapse didn’t happen while I was playing, my contract was not renewed. I am doing my best to strengthen the area but the stability only lasts a few days at best. This has had an effect on me psychologically and I just want my body to be stable enough to enjoy sports with my kids and for a hobby, not even professionally anymore. Could N.O.T. have any answers for me?

SECTION 3 - MATERNAL AND CHILDREN'S CONDITIONS

  1. Both of my children have recurring ear infections. My elder child had tubes put in his ears but the infections still continued. My doctor says it’s normal. I read that dairy products increase mucous production in the body and support the growth of unfavorable bacteria which lead to infections. Even after I have eliminated dairy from the kids’ diet, the problem remains. What would your approach be?

  2. My daughter is constantly getting colds and coughs, yet I see other kids staying healthy. We eat very well in comparison to the other families, so I know that is not the problem. I don’t want to keep using the excuse that there is “just another flu or cold going around” as I know this is not a true reason. What could be going on?

  3. Is it safe or even recommended to have treatments before getting pregnant or when one is pregnant? Can you help with difficult childbirths?

  4. Reading your book and other materials, it makes sense to have an infant checked ASAP, with or without symptoms. Is this correct?

  5. My child spent very little time crawling and went straight to walking. Now when he walks I notice his right foot turns out and he tends to fall frequently. Is this a sign of something?

SECTION 4 - DIGESTIVE AND VISCERAL PROBLEMS

  1. Can you explain what you know about hyperacidity, hiatal hernias, belching, flatulence, bloating, and why chewing gum is confusing to the body?

  2. I have a hernia in my groin for which I had surgery. It still bothers me and now I have been told that my prostate is enlarging. Is there a logical explanation for what is causing these problems using your approach?

SECTION 5 - LEARNING DISABILITIES/DYSLEXIA/ADD/ADHD
